Battle Oats Protein Cookies Review

Battle Oats sent me their new cookies to try. I have eagerly been waiting for the cookies to launch after being a fan of the Battle Oats bars.

First things first, I can’t believe how soft these cookies are! They literally crumble into your mouth.

Double Chocolate Cookie

The cookies is chocolately as expected but does occasionally leave a slight taste of pea protein. This is my favourite out of the two flavours and I think I’ll be purchasing a whole box!

Macros per cookie (60g): 236 cals, 22.8g carbs, 9.6g fat, 10.2g protein

Chocolate Chip Cookie

The pea protein taste was a lot stronger in the chocolate chip cookie and although it was nice, I think the double chocolate flavour is far better!

Battle Oats Cherry Bakewell Review

Battle Oats sent me one of their new cherry bakewell bars to try. I have to admit that I’m not a massive cherry bakewell fan but agreed to try it with my partner in crime, Con who is allergic to nuts. Despite being cherry bakewell, the bar does not contain almonds!

On opening I was slightly worried that the bar looked a bit dry but to my pleasure, the flapjack softly crumbled when I bit into it. I was surprised when I actually really enjoyed the flavour. The cherry and almond were perfectly balanced and the sickly marzipan-like taste which I hate was absent. The bar has chunks of white chocolate and cherry but these were rare to find in the bar – where dem chunks at?!

Summary

I think that the white chocolate coconut Battle Oats is still my favourite but if you like cherry bakewell then give these a try! The macros aren’t the best if you’re focusing purely on protein content but are perfect for a balanced fuel. I just wish that there were more chunks!
